I now have both; the Classic is a solid phone with good functionality but the Passport is just a mean machine. It is so much quicker than the Classic that you can't help but think you are stepping backward when switching phones.

The Classic is also a bit heavy for its size. Nevertheless, it is certainly a great choice for people transitioning from the 9900. The keyboard is especially good!

Would you mind describing exactly what is quicker? When you touch an app to open, does it jump forward faster? Does the hub open or slide faster when you touch an email? Or is it that apps load quicker after opening?

I think the apps open before you even touch them, actually when you just think about opening them.

Considering this is the Classic forum so most people here are people who have or want the Classic... that's not nice to call the Passport Pee Wee Herman...

Wish I have money to burn too. I definitely buy all the BlackBerry. But for now just need to be thankful and stick to my good old Z30. Nothing to complain.

Gonna have 2 Classics and a Passport very soon! No money to burn, just impulsive lol!

It is a very close battle between the Classic and Passport right now. Will sell whichever phone I don't pick. Stay tuned.

The Apps open quicker, the emails open quicker; you can't help but feel it's power as a device especially when switching between tasks, whatever they may be. The phone function also launches much faster.

I think the Classic does exactly what it's designed to do as a solid communication device to replace the existing legacy devices. I have been using it for my daily driver going on three days and I couldn't be happier.

An app opening 1 second quicker means nothing to a Classic user.
