For anyone with a arabic keyboard preference alshop.com has classics with english/arabic keyboard hybrid, as they are based in dubai

For extra 100 bucks though, but I like to be different with my devices so it's worth the extra money.

Oh man! I so much wanted it so I can start typing in Urdu and chatting with family and friends in Pakistan. But more $$ and plus shipping. I guess I should wait for the replacement keyboard availability.

Ohhhhh I didn't even think of replacement keyboards. Would that be made through Blackberry or 3rd party vendor?

@Urdu - Silent Keys update that will arrive in a few hours has the Urdu keyboard. I requested the developer on 8th January and he made it happen within a week. The update has been accepted and will populate BBW within a few hours.

Arabic/English hybrid keyboards lack 4-5 letters from the Urdu alphabets. Neehoo, pictures sent by developer is attached:

Well with the shipping (dhl) it came to 6 and change...alshop.com probably gets a cut from all purchases, hence the price hike? It was aed 1949...which equates to 530 usd

Yeah I wouldn't bother paying $100 more when I would rather wait for the keyboard replacement availability. While I can use silent key software which cost only a dollar!!

    A hybrid keyboard?

I'd be surprised if KSA and UAE stock BlackBerry devices otherwise!

Did you know that there is only one physical BlackBerry store in the whole wide world? And it is at UAE. So ofcourse they will carry it with arabic keyboard cause that's their national language.

Hybrid, it's golden Arabic letters beside the white English. To someone who doesn't speak the language, it may seem cluttered.
