I'm looking for other options for protection for my beloved Classic. I have an Otterbox Defender now, but the plastic is so flimsy and it creaks everytime I use it. Any other fitted rubber cases out there that are good? Maybe a Speck type?

I have the same case as you. After reassembling the inner shell 5 or 6 times, I was able to get it pretty much creak-free.

So is it because it's new?

Excellent quality leather and stitching and one of the few cases that has a hole for the notification LED

It's new, yes, but it's a replacement. The first one creaked bad, I callled Otterbox, they sent me another that also creaked. But after taking it apart 5 or 6 times, I finally got it so it pretty much does not creak and is solid.

The first one had a UPC that ended in 100, the replacement had one that ended in 099.

I'll check and see what mine is. I'm in town without it on
