Same here. Defender. Tried a OEM leather holster but need more protection and I prefer clips to holsters.

Do you feel that the Classic without the removal able battery makes it more likely to get damaged from dropping?

I was always under the impression with my 9900 and Q10 that if I dropped them sometimes the cover would pop off with the battery and sort of "break the fall"

Looking at getting a Classic and would prefer a naked one bit if not then the soft shell case would be the one for me.

It looks real nice with no case, but I just can't ever trust a phones screen to not crack if it falls with no protection.

Dropped mine on patio few small scratches on corner but still hate cases I have several but cant seem to leave them on for long love the feel of the Classic naked .

Nillkin case with leather Monoy cover. $12 from Amazon and I like it more than my $40 Otterbox. The back looks just like the back of the Classic so it adds very little thickness

I'm using the BlackBerry leather slip pouch (non belt clip version) love the slimness of it and the fact it can't turn on in my pocket...

I had the defender but found it too bulky on using the keyboard and it wouldn't go into my pocket without a fight because of the rubber shell (not a belt clip fan with my type of job)

Also still holding out for the OEM flip case (as seen on the Q10).

Can I ask everyone in the thread who replied that they got the Otterbox Defender report back and tell me if the case feels solid when they hold it? I am on my third Defender for my Classic and each one has been creaky under the rubber when I hold it.

I bought a Surface case for my wife's Classic and it is awesome - they also have a holster for it as well.

Thanks, looks nice, but it does not look like it protects the screen very much. Is there much of a lip around the screen?
