I think you have a faulty device.

I take my phone off charge at 6am, 6pm comes and I'm at 51%.

20+ emails a day sent, receive on average 20 emails a day, with 50% of them replied to, numerous (100+) texts to the wife, 5 phone calls minimum every 2-3 hrs. My job - I work in Projects, so I'm on my phone quite a lot.

I do not play any games, I do not have Skype on, I rarely check facebook while working, I don't tweet or instagram and have only taken one photo with this thing. I use it for work and work only.

If you work, it will last all day. If you are a social media addict, I do not know how long it will last.

I have one personal and one business.

I mainly work off business email if I'm honest. With me rarely using the personal one.

Phone calls last between 1 min and 25 mins, with the majority being under 5 minutes.

I don't have bluetooth on unless I am at home or in my truck, and wi-fi 50% of the time.

I don't do any doc editing or pdf reading on my phone, all that is done with my SP3.

It is used primarily as a contact device only.

Ok, so at least now I know I will stick to my Bold 9700 for at least 2 more years.

How is the 9700 holding up after so many years? That device was my fave and quite a workhorse for me.

Oh these are awesome - I'm posting mine in comparison to people complaining about their 4 hr life.

I'm a heavy user and it lasts beyond a day of full working.

Very happy with how my battery is going so far.

Iam far far away from those battery lives!

I have draining from 8am to 11am with 17%!

So is my device faulty or just waiting a couple of days?

Iam using this device very rarely because my battery is going down very fast.

2 email accounts with push, brightness at 50%, but without sim card because my nano sim card didn't arrive yet.
So when I don't use the Classic, it drains almost no battery what is very good and the battery save mode is effective in my oppinion.

You guys have to have faulty devices. Mine is surpassing the 22hrs BlackBerry said it would die at. I get a day and a half off a full charge.

I don't do anything special, other than I don't use gestures.

I'm getting 14-16hrs with TONS of testing and playing over the weekend. 10 browser tabs open, 8 apps open at nearly all times, 66% brightness, turning off battery saver, lots of BB Assistant usage, GPS map usage.

On a normal usage day, I expect several more hours.

Left my house at 5:00pm EST and now 6:10pm my battery went down from 73% to 58% and I barely used it...no apps open...I will give a few days to settle but this an issue if does not improve...should I wipe the device and reload the software?

Thanks for the screen shot.

Would you mind loading another screenshot, this time of the top battery draws? Like this:



Something I noticed from those with good battery life is that the top demand is aways Display or System. Your top two were PIM Services and BlackBerry Travel.

We know that the operating systems usually take some time to settle down, but it would be nice to pinpoint what the battery hog is during this time.

Absolutely.

The battery may still be found to be lacking once the OS has settled down, but we won't have real numbers until December 24th, at the earliest.

I'm rockin a Classic since Friday. The battery started off horribly principally due to the OTA Exchange sync I believe. It's getting better though. I turned the brightness down to a more reasonable level and it has a huge impact.

I honestly can't believe anyone is comparing the Classic to that joke ofa brick the Passport. That thing is not a mobile phone- it's a 1980's accountant's suitcase. The keyboard is ajoke. The dinensions are preposterous. It won't make it through 2015.

Realty is if it didn't have a BlackBerry logo on it most of you Uber Fanberry geeks would be trashing it.

Classic is a hit. Get one.

Today's workday drainage...I'm very pleased. Easily gets me through my 8 hr work day, with more than enough juice leftover after if I decide to go out and about. May not compare to the Passport obviously but I am content.


P.S. Brightness is 100% as you can see in the pic. If I decided to dim it or use battery saver thru the day I would be golden with better results.

I wiped my device and now reloading everything... I'll let everyone know what happens.... this device is great... if the battery does not improve I'll exchange it for another one.

In your third screen shot (first two are CPU), are you sure you were showing the highest battery use processes? Because if System and Display are your top draws, and are only accounting for 1 or 1.5% of battery drain, then you have a lot of apps drawing a lot of power all day.
