Bought Classic today in Selfridges. They are just finished setting up a nice display in middle of tech area. No issues with device and am very happy.

They said they are selling about 40 units a day of the Classic and huge interest in it which is good.

I have bought items from both Handtec and Clove and both gave excellent service.I do not live on the UK mainland,but there were no delays.
At present Handtec appears a few pounds cheaper for the Classic.

I'm pretty sure all classic's are made in China by Foxconn.

Thanks for that.The reason I ask,and it would be on the box,is that maybe using just one manufacturer will eliminate the problems that always seemed to happen with units coming from multiple countries.
Unfortunately,the earlier posts of chipped keys etc gave me some concern,although since then reports have been good.

Selfridges experience :
Ordered online 3rd Jan.
Email received 4th Jan, saying Classic had been dispatched.
Arrived 5th Jan.
No chips, buckles or crinkles.
Happy.

I should finally receive my Classic from Amazon tomorrow or Wednesday. I first placed the order at �349, then when I checked the listing on Saturday night it had been changed to �329 (and the seller was Amazon). So I cancelled my original order and reordered it for �329. By Sunday the same add had been removed from their search. Currently my order is showing as not dispatched. Maybe this week Amazon UK will finally be stocking the Classic.
