Not at all. It's called the Classic for a reason. Must have toolbelt including trackpad.

    No.
    The toolbelt is essential.

Agreed. This is 100% WHY it is called the 'Classic'. Higher specs are not really needed for a BB10 device.

No. Toolbelt is part of the design, and IMO the toolbelt is an important feature that BlackBerry were negligent not to include with the first release BlackBerry 10 devices.

I need higher specs for a few Android apps. Passport works great, but too big. I NEED better specs, but I also need BB10 and a Classic form factor.

I wouldn't mind the better specs, but it NEEDS the toolbelt. If you don't like it, don't use it. Simple as that. I barely touch the screen any more now that I have my toolbelt back...

I would love an upgraded version of the Classic, but keeping the toolbelt and making it even more awesome. Like, with a luminous trackpad.

need USB-3.0 support like the Passport!
got a "WD My Passport Ultra external HD" but can only be accessed with the Passport not with the Classic because of the lack of USB-3.0 support
yes the HD is in exFAT and using the same microUSB adapter with both devices!
so the next Classic-2 need some good hardware update even better than the Passport now to mach the latests toys out there.

I heard they are currently developing a Classic 2 with 3D holographic support. It will also have a 240G SSD, and a battery that will last for days, even with heavy usage. Also it will run BB16 - which can run both android and iOS apps flawlessly, and cost around $299. Word on the street is that this will save BlackBerry.
