Got my Classic. First thoughts? It's solid! I love the weight of this monster. Also, the trackball seems small and so far not that necessary. The toolbelt is brilliant. Also big changes from OS 10.2.

Ok, now can someone please inform me how I can get into the Amazon App Store? I have Apps that I need!

These apps aren't in the Amazon app store, you'll need to download another store to get them. I'd suggest loading Snap, search the forum to find how. It'll take you 10 minutes and after that you'll have access to all the apps from the google play store.

That's very disappointing. I thought the Amazon Store had most things.

I can't follow this Snap thing. Can someone please send me a simple link to it? There are too many pages when I search for it myself.

    Thank You

From your computer go there: http://redlightoflove.com/snap/ and download the Snap .bar file.

Then you go there: https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/releases and you download the latest sachesi that runs on the model of computer you have by clicking the green button (not source code).

Once sachesi is loaded, plug your phone in with USB. Open Sachesi, go to the 'install' tab and drag and drop the Snap .bar file you downloaded earlier, let Sachesi do its magic and then you're done.

Might seem complicated, but all of this shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

Can someone please tell me how to get the click back from the trackball? It's silent now.
The click seems to be gone. I didn't find an option to turn it on either. Missing it BIG TIME!

Wait, you guys actually like little sound effects? That's the first thing I disable in any device I own. Phone, camera, anything. Fake shutter sounds, silly little beeps and boops, etc... Do you know how I know I've pressed a button? Because I know I told my finger to press the button and I felt it click down. The End.

    The beeps and boops, yes.
But the trackpad click was/is important imho. It gives a kind of tactile & audible feedback on what the cursor is doing and how far it moved or will move, and if your thumb is as fast or as slow as desired. Not having the click, on the Classic, feels like moving the cursor/focus around with much less control than usual.
This might be psychological and a matter of getting used to (I personally don't think so), but it feels like something essential is missing. Even after 2 years of using non-BBOS devices.

I guess I'll see after I receive it, but I'm pretty sure I've turned it off in my legacy devices as well as long as the option to turn the sounds off was there.

Fantastic. Thank you so much. It works great now!

I do find the device a bit sluggish though. Not as slick as I'd hope.

    Anyone else notice this?
