I thought his comments were great! Now bring the Classic and Passport* to AT&T please. Thank you.
Why would he say in the worldwide launch that he "hasn't tested out the battery"? Could it sound more apathetic? C'mon.
Youtube vid anywhere?
Maybe on YouTube ;D

I think you're right. He should have tested the battery before being interviewed. Especially considering that the battery has been a major source of complaints from Z10 owners.

He's been using the Classic for months as his own. He even had it at the Passport event.
Then there's no reason for him to make a comment like that. Unless, he know the battery is crap and doesn't want to say it to the world.

Do you honestly think that the classic battery wasn't tested thoroughly by the folks up in Waterloo before they released it?? The battery is fine and he already knows that, nothing to worry about.

It clearly says from the news TV screen "50% better in battery ". Too bad it was cut short. I wish John would have had a chance to talk a bit about the Passport.
Cheers

You may know that, and we (CrackBerrians) may know that but does the outside world know that? Take a step back and forget that you ever owned a BlackBerry, or that you hated the battery life on an earlier device, how would you react to the CEO not saying that he's using the phone he's launching to the world but doesn't know how the battery life is? I just think it's lackluster, but that's my $.02 worth (Canadian, so in US, that's -$.05 LOL). ;)
Yeah, true. I thought it was an odd comment too. He's just very casual about everything, but it came off as if he didn't know about his own product.
Precisely my impression too.
Then why wouldn't he have said that?
Instead he said hour hadn't tested it. Odd comment if what you claim is in fact true.
On another note aren't those the same folks in Waterloo that tested the Z10 battery?

As I said, the folks who have had the pre-release devices like Kevin O leary have praised the battery life, device performance and love the Classic.
That's the advertising that the products needs, from the actual folks who are using it in the market it was targeted for, Just my two cents.

I don't think they ever advertised the z10 as having great battery life. The z10 is probably why they moved away from replaceable batteries in the first place since it was subpar.

He himself probably has not tested it but BB has tested it extensively. Do you expect Chen to do testing? Really?
His english isn't great and it's not his first language. Maybe that's not what he's trying to interpret. Give him a break please. No one is perfect.
