I've had this issue and was wondering if anyone else has had it too.

When switching phones from my Classic to another BlackBerry, I'd sometimes leave the SIM card door and SD card door (empty) not totally pressed back into the Classic, and charge it while off.

This sends the Classic into a rebooting cycle, where it goes on and off and DRAINS THE BATTERY completely.

The phone gets ridiculously hot, to the point where it's too hot to hold on the sides.

I now know to keep the trays fully inserted while charging the Classic when it's off, but do you think the battery has been damaged? It would happen for about 20 minutes before I realized what was happening.
