T-Mobile's customer service will not give straight answer to questions related to service with BB Classic or Leap in Bryan/College Station, Texas. I would use BB Classic or Leap purchased unlocked from ShopBlackberry.

Why would they? They don't sell the devices. Given T-Mobile's network changes though, there's a 98% chance either or will work fine.

Lucky for you, ShopBlackBerry.com offers a 30-day return policy. So get it and try it. I see no reason why it won't work. You may not get visual voicemail but the rest should work.

My unlocked passport purchase from shop blackberry works with tmobile, so I don't why it won't work with classic or leap.

An unlocked Classic or Passport from Amazon will work fine on T-Mobile. I've had my Classic from Amazon since December, have traveled from NY to Oregon and California. Classic worked just fine everywhere and at every stop airport on the way in Phoenix, Dallas, Chicago and Detroit. No issues. Works fine all up and down East Coast too.

My Classic work like a charm on T-mobile. I don't see why you would have a problem.

Yes, always 4GLTE or 4G signal in all places. Mostly 4GLTE about 70% of the time. Always on T-Mobile network that I could tell. Didn't see the signal change to anything else that looked weird.

I've had a Passport, Classic, and now a Leap in central Texas. Have had no problems with receiving T-Mobile 4G LTE wherever it's available. You'll be fine.

Yes, it works fine. On TMO w/ Amazon purchased Classic since Dec. No issues.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have to download a separate visual voicemail app from TMobile, or does visual voicemail already come standard on the Classic? Thanks.

All I did was put in my SIM card and rock and roll. I didn't have to do anything else. VVM works on my Classic. Everything does except WiFi calling, as that is a strictly TMO feature on TMO sold and supported phones. Since the Classic is not sold or supported by TMO, no WiFi calling. I don't even miss it.

They won't as they are no longer an official carrier of any Blackberry products.

I am with T-Mobile when I had my Passport before selling everything worked great - visual voicemail etc. Zero issues.
