    Phone: Blackberry Classic on VZW

    All of a sudden I was unable to connect to my phone using Blend. I went through the troubleshooting and restarted both my laptop and phone several times. Finally uninstalled BB desktop software and when I went to reinstall it from the the Blackberry website the exe. file does not open.

    Anyone else experience this or have any advice?

    Did you update any software?

    If you updated to the Beta Blend you have to load the PC software to match.

    Try shutting down you phone and PC and see it it will connect

    The problem is that I can't reinstall the desktop software. I can download the .exe file from BlackBerry but it won't open. Tried it on my desktop as well. No luck.

    Don't know if you cleared your PC before downloading and if you removed the existing software.

    So many things to check and you did not say what you have done.

    Can you try from another PC? Not being able to install the. exe sounds like it is related to your PC rather the BlackBerry software or phone

    Had to disable firewall and was able to get it working.
