Go to settings, notifications, choose the profile you want to change, customise app notifications, email
Menus are relatively logic

Go to Settings, notifications, profiles. Then you can set up for each. Touch on each profile and you can set for app. Took me awhile to find this too.
That is not what mine looks like.
i tried restarting it.
There is nothing here for email!!! Nothing for apps!!!
Can you post a screenshot?

i'm on my computer. how do i do a screenshot from my phone and email it to myself so that i can upload on here. SO FRUSTRATING
Go in to notifications and first click on one of the notification profiles, preferably the one you're using and then you'll see the above mentioned screen.

To screen shot presses both volume rockers at the same time

Post it from your phone using the crackberry app
A screenshot could really help figuring out the problem and alleviate your frustration!

How do I upload the screenshots from my desktop?
Go to:
System Settings/ Notifications/ Normal/ Customize App Notifications/ Email Messages (or whatever app you want to customize)/ then just choose the email account you want to change the notification for.
Just follow that path, it's very simple. Honestly though Bro, if you don't know how to upload a pic from your desktop... Well, try that and see if it works. It's the same on all BB10 10.3.1 devices.

I have a new Z30 and it's in there - - I know this is an older thread but it's for anyone out there now trying to find out how to add notification sounds for emails, texts, etc. It is a little difficult to get to the right menu. From "Normal", select "Customize App Notifications." The next menu that comes up says "Normal - App Notifications" at the top. Then choose which app from the list - - it starts with "Phone", then Email Messages", then "Text Messages" and so on. They changed the notifications settings windows with the new OS so it took me awhile to figure it out. Oh, and be sure to hit the "Sound" "on" button so that you can get a drop-down with available tones or tones you uploaded into your phone from other sources. I put all of mine in Music.
Sorry, but once I go thro Notification>Normal (edit)>Customize App Notifications>Email Messages
I don't see any options to select different email accounts for a separate set of notifications
I'm on 10.3.2.2474 and the set-up must have changed at some point, because I didt struggle with this before
After you click on 'Email Messages' you should be presented with a screen that is titled '[profile] - Email Messages'. (Where [profile] will be the name of the profile you are editing.)
Below the title, on that screen, you will see a list of email accounts on your phone.
Click on one of those email addresses, and then select the notification settings that you desire.
Once completed; back out one screen, and select the other email address that you wish to change.
Note: while you are changing the custom ringers, you are also able to use this screen to change which email account is your primary email account, by pressing 'set default'

I accidently quoted my old post when attempting to edit :S
What a goof :P
Blackberry - Making Easy Stuff Hard as Hell Since 1999!! There is nothing intuitive about Blackberry Leap. I've been trying to figure out how to turn on sound notification that I have email, and there's nothing on this site or the BB site that addresses that. The owner's manual (pdf) brings useless to a new level. This is a work issue phone, and I'm disgusted with the whole thing. I believe I may either throw it off a bridge or smash it with a hammer. If you tell me to go to "Settings/Notifications" I'll blow a cork, so please, with tears in my eyes I'm begging you . . .
Go to settings -notifications - normal - custom app notifications - email message - select your approp account - select the sound toggle
