    Good evening all,

I'm trying to help my brother get his yahoo email account synced up on his new Classic on Verizon and have encountered issues. It keeps saying "the account cannot be added at this time please try again later"

Now we've waited and tried again, we've created an "app password", logged in through the browser, and as a last resort downloaded the yahoo mail app from the amazon app store.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I have searched high and low and haven't found a fool-proof solution.

    Thanks.

Keep trying. Sometimes doing the setup using Wifi helps. Yahoo has not been playing nice with Blackberry ever since Melissa arrived

Haha, I appreciate the tip. Unfortunately doesn't sound too promising.

I think I'm more annoyed than he is that it's not working. He seems satisfied with the app, but I'd really like to get the account integrated with the hub and all for him.

Yes we have. Made sure all server settings were in line with what yahoo specifies.

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but yahoo mail and BlackBerry don't mix well. I've created a new email address with outlook and did automatic email forwarding from my yahoo account to my outlook account. Works like a charm.

Yea that's basically what I did for him, just with Gmail instead of outlook.

I've always had issues setting up my Yahoo account. As posted before, it usually fixes itself after waiting 24hrs.

Yahoo doesn't support push emails for BlackBerry right? I went Gmail and never looked back.

    Hi,

I created an app password, gave 'Yahoo' as name of the app and used this password to create my yahoo account on bb classic.
    Works perfectly.

    Cheers.

Adjust your account sync time-frame down to 90 or less. That should fix it.

For one get rid of the app password. It will only cause more stress while trying to sync the account. You can easily add it back on later. I remember having trouble as well adding yahoo. I just kept trying and then it just worked!

What you will need to do is go to your yahoo mail on your desktop or tablet. You should have receive an email stating an unauthorized login has happened and you will have a specific app login where you will go and enter in blackberry email or mail whatever you want to call it and it will give you a password to use so you can get your email on your phone.
