    Make Camera++ a keyboard shortcut:

    *Go to Settings

    *Go to Shortcuts and Speed Dial

    *Pick and assign a shortcut or edit an existing shortcut. (I made mine Z... Perfectly within thumb reach AND perfect keyboard real estate for a Camera shortcut, in my opinion!)

    Go to System Settings:

    Can I Make Camera++ Default Camera-img_20150611_090455.png

    Next Go to Shortcuts and Speed Dial

    Can I Make Camera++ Default Camera-img_20150611_090435.png

    Next Click on an empty key or edit an existing one (in this screenie I've gone to an unreserved key, "Y")

    Can I Make Camera++ Default Camera-img_20150611_090709.png

    Next, Click it open, you'll see this:

    Can I Make Camera++ Default Camera-img_20150611_090742.png

    Choose App 'Launch Shortcut', click that open you'll then see your app list:

    Can I Make Camera++ Default Camera-img_20150611_090915.png

    Find Camera++ in the list, click it and this will active that keyboard shortcut for the Camera++ app. From here simply press and hold the key you assigned and this will activate the desired app.

    This what my shortcut screen looks like
    Just numbers no letters. I am trying this on a z10
    I wonder if that's the problem. Thanks for helping.
    It's no big deal.

    Try doing a press and long hold on the number you wish to assign the shortcut to. See if this pulls up a menu to insert apps... (These are blind instructions as I'm not a fan of all touch devices, just guessing where the OS would hide your shortcut menu options.) Maybe a skilled Zed user can better instruct you But try doing a long press and hold on the # you want to assign and see if that brings you to the menu that says '+Assign A Shortcut'

    The Z10 has no phk, can shortcuts be assigned in this manner since there is no phk? Also, are you both on the same OS or at least on a close enough branch.

    I'm on a Classic, m69 is on a Zed10... Like I said in the post above, I'm not an all touch fan, but since he/she sent a screenie of a short cut menu I blindly attempted to offer guidance... I don't know if they can be assigned or not, but I was just trying to help in case it is possible...

    I was just curious myself. I can't even check any screen now as I no longer have a BB device to refer to.

    Just checked on my z10 and compared it to my passport for assigning shortcut keys as per the above screen shots. It's not the same. Both are running on the same OS (10.3.1.1779). Perhaps the passport having a physical key board, doesn't restrict what is assigned a kb shortcut?

    Shortcuts only work with pkb devices not full touchscreen. You can only assign speeddials with full touch Can't do it with my z30 either
