I have own blackberry classic, unfortunately I deleted blackberry id while anti theft feature is on.

Now Iam not able to finish setup.

Why the blackberry software is designed like this, it should block deletion of blackberry id when the device anti theft is on.

Now iam facing my own phone as theft phone .

This problem usually occurs when you wiped a phone and deleted the ID the phone recognizes. However, if you logged on to your phone and then changed the ID, and THEN did a wipe/setup there should be no issue.

Usman is correct. There is no solution to this other than sending your phone to BlackBerry.

It would probably cost you less to get a new device.

I am not understand how the system accepts deletion process of blackberry id, when the anti theft feature is on. It should ask to off the anti theft feature.

Unclear what you did. The warning message which pops up when you want to do a wipe should warn you that protect is on and also warn you that you will need your ID to continue with the wipe. So, you entered your ID, did a wipe, then deleted your ID BEFORE logging back into the phone? I supposed to be 100%... the warning should say you will need the ID to get back in. But, why delete the ID if you're keeping the phone? Can anyone give a solution for Anti theft faced by Owner of Blackberry Classic?-wipe.jpg

    Thanks,
Noted, it is showing only alert , no blocking of deletion process. It shoud ask a popup "change anti theft feature off on device with credentials before doing the process other wise phone is unusable".
Thes system is designed easily do the mistake.

I agree. Except the phone would not be unusable if you hadn't deleted your ID.

Ok, the mistake happened , why not blackberry start a portal for rectification / unlock for this type issue exclusively for owners with proof of purchase copy, email confirmation, OTP. etc.

    Thanks for your reply.
