Not sure if there is a way. However, I keep my phone on Vibrate mode (I don't like to hear noises while at work and don't want to distract others). Using the Vibrate profile, the camera shutter is silent.

Turn your profile to either vibrate, or silent.
Your camera shutter sound is now disabled.

Wouldn't having a phone on vibrate while you're trying to keep your hands still to take a photo defeat the purpose....

And yes, I suppose having one's phone on silent would work, because there'd be no distraction cos you wouldn't hear someone phone you.

But I haven't got any better solutions unless you tried turning the profile sound down to near zero and see if that has an effect.
