A few days into using the classic - so far I am loving it a lot except the camera. I tried to take a close shot of a marshmallow, it would never focus no mater how many times I have tried. What always happens is that it would try to focus, get to one point where it is in focus for a split second, then stays at the blurry shot every time.
I have a feeling that the camera doesn't know what it's supposed to do or get confused about the colors?? I have tried to move closer or further away from the object I tried to take, same thing happens.

What should i do??? How is your camera performing? Do I just have a funky camera? I am still in testing period, so I could probably exchange for another phone at this point.

You should update your operating system. BlackBerry released 10.3.2.2474 three months ago with camera improvements.

I had the same problem. The only fix I could find was every time I want to use the camera, I choose action instead of auto.
That will do the trick. Two drawbacks:
    1. It's not a sticky setting and
    2. It automatically chooses flash off. So if you need it you have to reactivate it.

    Nothing like my SE.

Pictures are beautiful. Did you use the native camera app? Or a third party app?

Try long pressing on the subject. A lock will show and it will no longer try to auto focus.

You can also long press by using the track pad to lock focus as well. Release and it snaps the photo.

If you long press the screen until lock icon appears, you can use trackpad to snap as many photos of subject in question as you want. Lock icon must appear in order for focus to be locked.
