For any heavy calendar users, are you seeing lag and slowness?

I can do a few apps then switch to calendar (which is on Day view for me normally) but when I press to Month view, it literally can take up to 5 seconds or more for the dates in month view to populate with squares and dots.

    What's up with that?

Yes, can often be tough to open calendar & check entry or create entry when on the go...

I don't find it slow, but I am having a tough time adjusting from the 10.2.1 calendar on my Q10. I love that full week Agenda view is back, but it's really finicky to jump from week to week or month to month (especially month to month). And sometimes hitting T to jump to today, will actually take me to the week prior.

By comparison to the passport it is slower.

The Q10 was just as slow. I believe it's because of the hardware. It lags from time to time, so it just requires a bit of patience when you're rushing through adding things on your calendar.

1-2 seconds at most. Nothing that bothers or slows me down.

Man, does anyone like the square and dots? Such a horrible way to present the month view.

BBOS calendar was so much better.

I preferred the calendar view on my z10, whereby half of the screen is devoted to that day's appointments.

Seeing a screen full of green dots seems meaningless.

Also, it's not immediately apparent (in month view) which is the day your cursor has selected and which is the current date.

and yes it's laggy on the classic, selecting a particular date means waiting half a second before the appointment appears. Same goes for adding an appointment.

It lags as it opens but slowly goes away but when you start firing entries into it...thats when you really see the lag.

Now I'm using a Google calendar over the local calendar so that might be the issue.

Yes, I feel the lag too (certainly more noticeable in the Classic than my other BB10 phones). I also hate the new Calendar. What were they thinking?

I'm not a heavy user, usually ad events here and there for the weekends, very basic items, but I find the calendar lags a lot.
Not sure why at all, again I'm not a heavy user, just dates added for a birthday, or an event in the evening.

Say it's Saturday and I got 4 events through the day, when I go to note 1 event it goes alright (not fast, but not alarmingly slow) but once you try to add another event, it takes about 5sec for the new window to open to input info. then to save and go back to the date is another 5-10sec and builds more.

even when viewing the calendar as an overall month, scrolling across dates takes option. I only have 1 email fixed to be used in the calendar as well.

    any insight?

I usually keep the Calendar running as an active frame, there is some lag after creating an appointment until it shows up. That didn't happen on the Q10 running 10.2.1 nor on the Passport running 10.3

I have to agree regarding the monthly view, what kind of a joke this is. Attached are two screen shots, the first from the Q10 running 10.2.1 and the second showing the Classic running 10.3.1 of course. Same month, same events!

Hopefully not double-typed with my Q10

this is really quite atrocious. doesn't help that i can't install blend on my work station.

i have updated my z10 to 10.3.1 but only the classic lags this badly.
hope there is a fix for this soon

Yes the lag is quite bad on the Classic. Some serious updating needs to be done to fix the bugs 10.3 has...
