I was travelling today - music, navigation and speed trap warning constantly running parallel, all connected to Bluetooth to my rental car for 800 km.

The phone got extremely hot, well above 40 C. I decided to run the same setting on my Q10 on my second mobile line and the Q10 was considerably cooler. I just realised that I accidentally turned on BlackBerry Blend. I turned it off, you could feel how the phone got cooler (plus you could see it in Battery Monitor).

    Anybody else experienced this?

I don't think it was Blend per se. It was the fact that you were trying to make a connection to a laptop when you were in a car and Blend had to keep searching???

Turning it off surely helped the device.

Not necessarily a laptop - but maybe it also tried to connect to a headset my other mobile phone was connected to.

Anyway, the Classic is back to normal now.
