    Here is my BlackBerry-(hi)story:

First: 8700 (which infected me with the BlackBerry virus)

then: 8310 (first love with the trackball + finally a camera on BlackBerry)

then: 8900 (which I had the longest - man, it was a stunning device at it's time! The screen was so crisp - compared to everything else on the market and the 3.2mpx. shooter with AF was so awesome!)

then: 9900 (to me with the best keyboard to date! But the weak 1200mAh battery, lack of auto focus and poor WiFi reception were a "no-go") - and because of that the only BlackBerry I sold!

then: 9790 (which gave me that "8900-feeling" I loved so much again - with the Bold keyboard! Auto focus was back and battery life was a bit better - because of the smaller screen)

then: Z10 (which was my first "all touch" device. Which I still love to use as my 2nd and "fun device" or when I go out. To me one of the most beautiful [and underrated!] devices EVER made! I love all about it! -only downside is the battery life - for a BlackBerry)

now: Classic (which is my "work horse", having a physical keyboard to "hammer" on is unbeatable! Trackpad? Awesome! Battery life? Excellent! -only "downside" is that it really feels so "mid-range" - kinda far from the feeling of a 9900 or 9000 did! But a loyal daily driver [only with some lack of "emotion"]!)

And one thing is for sure:
I stick with BlackBerry as long as BlackBerry (and it's own OS) sticks with me!

Pearl 8100 - a huge upgrade and move away from my once-preferred Nokia that offered too many similar devices with a plethora of disappointing features. Since then BlackBerry became my #1 choice brand for mobile computing.

Bold 9780 - a nice upgrade from the Pearl lacking WiFi - new OS 6, increased flash memory, faster CPU and other great features.

Playbook - a promising, complimentary mobile device with great potential but with the wrong name and focus. I think that this clearly signaled the slide and impending fall from the top for BlackBerry.

Z10 - highly anticipated, attractive and promising but (delayed) far too late into a market already captivated by other big-name contenders, Apple and Samsung.

Classic - a good contender with just what is needed (but perhaps not quite enough) for serious, everyday, mobile communications. However, BlackBerry has found itself in a very difficult, unfortunate position of regaining popularity and convincing the market that it can still offer the best products in a timely manner. For me, the Classic is definitely one of the best native BlackBerry smartphone offerings. I'm quite satisfied that it delivers just what I need to get things done when I'm on the move and to keep me moving on quickly.

All the above-mentioned BlackBerry devices remain in my collection. Unfortunately, the older devices do not attract valuable exchange rates, trade-ins or trade-ups. This is another negative feature which could deter or delay future upgrades.
