    1. Do you guys use Blackberry Protect on your BB Classic?

    2. Does it use a lot of battery?

    3. Does it require you to password protect your phone, so that you have to enter a password frequently?

    4. Why does it auto-turn on after every reboot? Any way to disable that?

I've never used that feature. I only turn on a password when I want to go into Development Mode

    1: yes.
    2: no
3: no. I have protect in case I lose the phone, then I can hopefully find it after. I don't regularly have a password on my phone, since I don't have people in my life that enjoy changing my wallpaper on me :P
4: i'm no sure what you mean by auto-on. For me, I turned BlackBerry Protect on in my system settings. Now if I lose the phone, I have to go to the website on my computer to locate the device

I use Blackberry protect in the sense that I have location services and the service on.

It does allow you the ability to wipe the device clean if it gets lost, locate the device if lost or stolen. There are plenty of little features to assist too. I don't see any downfall to using it myself but if someone does they could post it cause I am not the biggest tech guy.

As for BlackBerry Protect on BBOS, I do recall it being a better service since I remember it backed up all data, pictures and such. I may be wrong but that's what I remember it did. In a lot of ways it was better but Ahh well. Good luck!
