Every since I've started using the Classic, my BlackBerry Link hasn't been able to recognize when my phone is connected to the computer. The mass storage system works just files, I can access my the files on my SD card, but I can't back my phone up, which is a huge problem. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?*

Plenty of effing times. Here is what I do:

1. Use Task Manager to kill all BlackBerry/RIM processes;
2. Either using COntrol Panel or CCleaner, uninstall all BlackBerry Software from the PC;
3. Use CCleaner to clean the registry and cache files;
4. Reboot both devices;
5. Plug the Classic (remember to turn Mass Storage and Charge only off) to the PC and when it asked to install drivers, say yes

That will get you Link (and likely Blend) to whatever the version your Classic's OS thinks is up to date and compatible with the device.

Wait, if I just turn off Mass Storage mode will that solve the problem? I know it worked when I first got the phone, but I may have screwed everything up when I turned on Mass Storage mode.
