Right now I still have the Bold 9930, which I consider the last good Blackberry. One of the things I like about it is that I can sync locally, which I value. Will the Classic allow that same functionality... not having to make a stop in the 'cloud' to sync that information?

You need to be more specific. Sync locally how and to what?

I agree, and would like to see functionality especially with contacts management that didn't require syncing to the cloud.

Yes, you can sync your contacts to windows. With all the usual settings...2 way device or computer override...

I don't have outlook, or any other native calendar on my pc, so I can't say how it is handled, but there is a greyed out option for local calendar sync on the screen.
