My 2 year old BlackBerry Classic will only hold a charge for approx. 45 minutes. Goes from showing 100% charged to zero in that short of time.

I only use a few apps; have 8GB free space; barely any pictures.

Constantly have to keep it plugged into a power pack or the wall to continue using it.

    Any ideas?!

Sounds like you already know the answer. Download BlackBerry Virtual Expert, run the battery test. It'll likely confirm what you already seem to know. Your option then is to ditch it, get it replaced, or buy a new Classic.

Replaced the battery. Worked fine for 12hrs. Battery slowly drew down to approx 65% and then device turned itself off. Plugged in to charge but only took a few mins to charge back to 100%. Is obviously something else. Idea?
Also, ran the BBVE tests. Absolutely everthing working fine. All tests.

You should perform a hard reset bevore replacing the battery. But now you have a new battery and soon a clean system
Wipe your device and it should be fine after it.
