    Have bb classic with me since one and half year. Seems that battery is giving false indication. Drains off at not zero percent but in between and when plugged in says battery 100% charged. Don't know what's the root cause

    it could be the battery is no longer as good as it was before...

    the only recommendation would be to try charging overnight.. sometimes even when it says 100%, it's not really there

    The Classic can be snapped up cheap now. I just grabbed a "certified refurbished" Verizon Classic for 138 dollars on Amazon. Thing looks brand new. You may want to compare that cost vs paying for a battery replacement.
