They have 2300 Mhz TD-LTE in Mumbai. So, no it won't support 4G LTE on Classic (or any other BlackBerry 10 phone).

Vodafone are planning trials of 4G services using FDD-LTE(hopefully) on Band 3 at the end of this year. Classic supports the 1800Mhz/Band 3. Also what model of classic did you bought?

Hi Niks! Right now none of the BlackBerry 10 models support 4G in Mumbai as Airtel's 4G runs on band 40. If you want to check your handset version, open the text message compose window and in the space for message type 'myver' (without the quotes) and press space. It will show your device version and OS version.

I heard that Vodafone and Reliance will support the bands that work on BlackBerry. Having said that, Airtel 4G in Bangalore is horrible, so you are not missing much.

I have hopes from Vodafone. If Vodafone's 4G band is supported by BlackBerry handsets, I'm getting the P'9983
