    Odd. For "issues" within the first year, they tell you that is under the one year coverage from your carrier and refuse to so anything as a matter of policy. This plan only covers issues from the second year on. Since the Classic is less than a year from release.....

    During the first year the policy only covers physical damage to the device.

    Insurance is crap unless it's a I lost my device it was stolen etc, send me a new one pay my deductible....anything else is a wrap.

    I am seriously happy for you and very surprised! Mine has still not arrived and they have not responded. We are in the process of lodging formal complaints with the appropriate authorities.

    No.... but an odd thing happened last Thursday. I got a call out of the blue from someone while I was in the middle of a meeting. I couldn't hear him well and was rushed but he said he was with a warranty company and needed to verify my mailing address. I gave it to him. Time will tell.

    Thanks for posting this on the CB site. It was hard to find, but once I started looking into getting to see if my slightly cracked screen would still qualify I read this thread and I can already see how this would play. They didn't continue to charge my card so I am walking away and hope this model lasts until I can upgrade (6 months I think...).

    Keep the updates coming too - I'm a new fan of the story.

    I would not let anybody with my Blackberry going out of sight. Otherwise how could I be sure my stored info wasn't copied.
    Backup then security wipe?
