Had a Q10 for over a year, started double-typing after three months but tolerated it because I was looking forward to the Classic.

Got the Classic and now it started the double-typing after only like six weeks. Additionally, it is driving me crazy because the email suggestions isn't working properly. It will only suggest emails for what are in the physical phone's contact list, not what are commonly sent via the phone, so I am constantly having to manually type in email addresses I send many times per hour. The Q10 did just fine but this will not.

I also noticed that the processor lags a lot more than the Q10. When I am in the browser and doing replies in forums and the like, it trails way behind what I am typing.

Those are definitely reasons to be disenchanted. It is supposed to be a productivity device afterall.

I don't seem to have that problem with the email suggestions, but this has more to do with the OS and not the phone. A Q10 on the newest OS would give this same email suggestion issue I would think.
There wasn't a complaint thread already open that you couldn't add this to?

Indeed, that's exactly how email suggestions works on 10.3.1. Just add your commonly use email address to contact and you're good to go

I think Q10 and classic each has its own pros and cons. Don't get me wrong, I did choose Q10 over classic, but I think classic is really a great phone too.. certainly gets work done! IMO

What he is essentially saying is blaming the Classic for this makes no sense. It's an OS things.
That being said, my email has learned lots of email addresses that's not in my contacts. Not sure why yours do not.

Sorry to hear about the double typing issues returning. I avoided the q10 for that reason and went with the Q5 last year; no double typing.

Saying the Classic Sucks and the Q10 is better is asinine dumb -_- lmao.....it's essentially the exact same device function wise, only the Classic has a larger qwerty for easier typing not as cramped on the Q10 larger screen and track pad. I don't care about removable battery the classic feels great in hand and battery life is excellent. The Q10 should have been the Classic - RIM too busy trying to appeal to the masses with the Q10 which well............

OP, I have the Classic. If I start to type an email address of someone that I've emailed before, etc (not in my contacts list) it will suggest it. So the OS (that comes with Classic) is fine. Either you have an issue that needs to be rectified (glitch in OS, etc) or there is some other reason ...perhaps the specific process you're using to initiate the email, accounts used, etc. etc.

You can manage email suggestions in the hub under settings->manage..... (I don't know how to translate this menu item correctly, but there is only one with 'manage').
The list 'recently used contacts' contains all addresses that were (guess what) used recently, the ones in your contacts list, and the ones that arrived by email. Here you can block them from showing (I think this might be your problem) or unblock them, so they will show again.
No typing of known addresses needed.
