I and my partner, each have the BlackBerry Classic, she was having lunch today at the mall with her sister... I made a BBM Video call to her, while we were chatting, a stranger came up to her and asked what kind of phone she had, my partner told her it was a BlackBerry Classic with a video call feature through BBM... stranger said she was going to check into it more... BlackBerry still impresses... cool!!!

BBM is pioneer in Messaging system and far beyond any other apps they just need marketing

I find Skype better than BBM the video call can play in the background (live video) while do other things
You can do that with BBM too.
I've done it.
And the screen sharing feature in BBM video is an awesome tool to show people how to do things on the phone.

I couldn't disagree more. But I seem to have it out for Skype. I'm not sure why, but the disdain runs strong.
You can't the video stop when you minimize it ,only audio
If you're using screen sharing, the video keeps playing

I like BBM video a lot. I wish BlackBerry would hurry up and release it for the priv. I didn't use it a lot but it was nice to use when my kids are with their mother for extended periods. BBM calling is slick too when you don't have good cell signal. I actually use that more

@ medic220033 for sure, my 3 teens are have BBM for Android on their tablets, I always call them through BBM calling... excellent bbm feature for sure... Rock On BlackBerry :-)

I wish I could video chat across platforms as I have family with BBM on Android and iOS devices and I can't video chat with them from my BBM on Classic.
The codec they use for Skype is ancient and terrible...

I used to call my kid on her iPad before I got a second phone for them. When they were little it was OK to make them share but when teenage hit the phone sharing didn't work so well lol
