Yah, especially if it currently does nothing, wouldn't hurt to assign something to it, might as well be something we're already used to.

Exactly.

I just found in some webpage text fields the BB button twice thing doesn't work. After I highlight text and press the BB button, the copy option is not highlighted, I have to manually touch copy. And even worse, when placing the cursor to paste, when I press the BB button it goes to the wrong menu, and I have to touch "more" then touch paste... In that case, the alt-trackpad and shift-trackpad would have been genius...

you mean highlight what you type or highlight anything?
What you type. I wanted to type something, then copy and paste it multiple times in the same comment, and ran into the problem...
Not sure these are FAQ worthy but....
What are the 2 holes for on each side of the on/off button? Rumor is they are for noise cancellation microphones but has this a confirmed source.
Does the Classic support common heartrate monitor straps? I think the answer is yes but ONLY bluetooth types.
I'm not sure about the second one. Never bought into the whole "fitness accessories" gimmick that's so popular now. I've never had a problem with exercising without a bunch of electronic monitoring. Who cares what my exact heart rate is? I have a routine, I'm getting results, the end... But anyway, the first one, I'm pretty sure those holes are the microphones for when you're shooting a movie. In fact, I'm 100% sure. I just tested it out, do this, shoot a movie, and start talking, halfway through, cover the holes. Play back the movie.
The Q10 had them too and they were also for that reason.

ok...I tried last night no problem this morning hit and miss with the side menu
Does the "Made in China" apply worldwide? No more 'Mexico 5','Hungary 3',etc.This was when buyers in the UK used to have many issues with various models,Q10,9900 and so on.
What card did you end up going with? I'm looking at 128GB cards as well. Do you notice any lagging if you play music?
Can anyone tell me how does the trackpad work with universal search? Suppose I type a name, select it with the trackpad (if that's possible) and press the call button will it call the contact or simply open the phone app?
Q5 SQR100-3/10.2.1.3442
It just opens the phone app.
Another example of things missing from BBOS X_X

usb on the go works - hooked up a usb keyboard to it yesterday.

Using the universal search for calling. Write "call xx". Name come up highlight the name then press the trackpad. It will open the phone app and call
From Classic
And you are very good at complaining. Stop comparing it to the old system. If you're not happy with the situation stay with old system
From Classic
There is absolutely no harm in accepting what the old system is better at. And no harm if BlackBerry implements these features in their new OS. Like John Chen had said, "new isn't always better".
And also, just pressing a button to call is faster and easier than typing call.

Hey you asking a question using the track pad. I gave you one.
From Classic
And I gave you my thoughts about what was missing.

Updated, thanks.

Screen Shot will not activate when you press volume key
I have loaded several different apps, but unable to open screen shot with volume key

Apps? Hold both volume buttons will capture a screenshot, native to the OS. Any apps you've downloaded claiming to help with that, uninstall them now, most likely just there to mine your information like the million flashlight apps out there...

When the screen is off can you press the trackpad to turn it on or do you have to press the lock button on the top (or swipe up) like on the Q10?
