With fairly high use, not many calls but some emails and a lot of whatsapp thru the day I'm lucky to get 12 hours. With light use 24 hours.

The thing is you battery usage my system and display after a hard reset will be low like .01 but it slowly rises as time goes, it's gotten pretty high into into high 20s even 30% a friend said system/display should not be abov 5-6% is this true?

I don't run a lot of apps, maybe 2-3 and barely use them. I do have Google play store loaded, and couple email accounts, brightness at 25% or so, swipe to wake off, odd phone call, mostly whatsapp/text. The whatsapp % is never very high though.

The guy I got my phone from said I can swap it but wondering if having system/display % that high is normal?

I know the z10 had bad battery life but I was under the impression the classic would have better battery life than the q10(which I'm coming from). Basically wondering if the system/display percentage should be that high?

If you are using WhatsApp heavily through the day, this is most likely your issue.

The app itself may not use a lot of battery, but every time you turn on the display, read, and answer a message, there's corresponding screen on-time and System-related processing that is power-hungry. It wouldn't be much different on any phone.

If you don't already, turn off the display with the power button after each reply, or buy a flip-case with sleep function. That might help.

I do hit the power button each time, I also disabled the swipe to wake function. Right now the phone has been on for 8 hours and I'm at 70% battery. Few emails, maybe 1-2 1min calls, light whatsapp throughout the day system is 7.4 and display 7.1%

Sometimes it syncs a lot when it's new so battery drain is expected.

It's been about 9 days so far. The seller said I could swap it out if I want but not sure it's worth the hassle if this is normal battery life? The main thing is, is it normal for system and display to get so high into the 20+% range over the course of a whole day?
