Today I did a lot of calling first with the PP and then switched to the Classic, speaking and hearing quality is way better then on the PP...

Not too sure as it seemed carrier connection was also better on the Classic if the better sound quality came alone from that or both...

Wonder if the Dteks have this awesome phone quality too?

I can't speak for the Dteks, but PRIV is very good.

What's especially nice is that my Classic seemed to have an issue with the proximity sensor - I would have to hold the phone away from my mouth so that my cheek didn't touch the screen - I was constantly muting people accidentally!
The PRIV doesn't do this at all.

Good to know. I am looking at the Mercury as an option, when BB10 really goes to pieces, like the Priv too though

Dtek60 is < than PP for sure. I wouldn't say the Classic is better than a PP though. Were they both in the same exact environment? i.e. same exact location. Phones left on table for example sounds different than when you hold it. (Resonance). Think the Z30 was one of the best to this date.

My experience was just the opposite. Passport speakers IMHO are the best in the market.

Yes exact same table and position, both times with headset and device lying on table...

My wife complains about her Dtek50 versus her Passport and you can clearly hear the difference there.

We both don't really use headset. I do once a week for early meetings on my dtek60 and don't notice too much difference. This past week i used my passport for the meeting. I would be hard press to say one way or the other.

    Well fair enough...
I just notice a big difference between Passport and Classic using the headset

Really OP? I think it's the opposite. IMO, the Passport speakers are awesome and way better than the Classic.

The Classic sound comes out of one side of the phone and the Passport has two speakers.
