It was fully charged at about 11am yesterday and it hit 9% at about 2:30am. That's about 15 hours of use. It was on cellular throughout that period.

    My activities
1 exchange mail, 3 personal mails, facebook, twitter, linkedin. I added them all during this time and the initial sync was on.
I installed and played candy crush
    Played two complete albums.
    several phone calls
    Light browsing
And I did several posts here from the phone

I don't like this I was ok with the specs, but the price is too high and the battery is even worse. Hopefully it will last longer

He made it almost 12 hours before entering battery saving mode, and almost 14 hours before being depleted. I assume since this is his first few days he's using it very heavily.

Don't you guys charge your phones at night? I don't know why so many people on this thread need 2 days of battery, especially with people complaining about weight on another thread.

I agree; plus (assuming it's a new battery in the phone) it will take a few charge / discharge cycles to get the battery up to full capacity.

If the phone got 2 days battery life there would be complaints that it doesn't get 3. This community is always complaining. I love this community but sometimes the complaints are ridiculous.

    Sigh!

Does anyone know where in NYC is the Blackberry Classic launching, and what time on December 17th?

Yes you need to swipe first. Pressing the send button will bring up the lockscreen and ask that you swipe to unlock

Too bad, they should have made this phone without touch screen.

I have two questions. 1.) What size is the battery? & 2.) Why did BlackBerry decide not to illuminate the track-pad?

Is it not allowed to want 2 days of battery life? The Classic has a big battery and a small display so I expected that it would last a little bit longer..

How does the toolbelt work with Android apps? Can I use the back button in place of the on-screen bar in Android apps? Does the trackpad ever work for scrolling? Can I still use the trackpad to move the cursor for text entry in Android apps?

Can you use the trackpad with picture password?

Candy crush is the only android app I have and the back button works in it. The trackpad doesn't work in candy crush. Will try install more android apps to know for sure. When I tired to do the facebook connect the trackpad worked on the facebook login screen both for moving the cursor for text entry and moving from the text field for email address and password and also moving to select the login button

Mobile City in SOHO said that they're going to have them, but they didn't say when .

15 hours of fairly heavy use seems pretty decent.

Remember, he added all of his accounts and did the initial sync. All on cellular, not wifi.

I'm ok with swipe up and prefer it vs. button activation. Otherwise, a crazy amount of pocket dialling etc. would happen.
