how does typing on the Classic compare to the passport?
I'm not asking for a comparision between a 3 and a 4 rows keyboard, nor on swipe enabled vs disabled.
I would like to understand how typing feels - do the keys give the same or different quality feel than on the PP?

This may seem like an absurd question but does the classic have the LED notification light? Ive tried to find mention of it but I cant. It is among the 3 most important features for me, along with keyboard and trackpad.

I currently own a Z10, I'm thinking going back to the physical keyboard... if you were a Z10 owner or a Q10 owner, would you buy the classic?

Can you test music, and is it loud through the speakers?
I like it loud and clear like the BB9780 days.

I have tested the music and it sounds really good but the passport was better with a richer and louder sound

It feels quite odd, perhaps because I have already gotten used to the passport keyboard. My main annoyance is the inability to swipe words. Swiping makes typing much faster on the passport.

But with time I guess it will normalize once one gets used to the classic

Does the screen rotate? I rest my q10 on its end to watch vids in the gym, would be much more stable to rest on its side....

The screen is fixed it doesn't rotate

From Z10 I think it will be easier to enjoy typing with the passport because of the touch sensitive keyboard that allows the BlackBerry virtual keyboard flicking experience.

From Q10 the the transition to classic should be seamless

But how are the keys - in terms of quality feeling, hub, 'clickyness' etc., compared to the PP?

Yes. I own both a Z10 and a Q10, and I can't wait to get my Classic. The Z10 is a great phone, I just suck with virtual keyboards. I'll probably put my Q10 up for sale once I get the Classic, and keep the Z10 for those times I feel like using it.

I am guessing those additions would make the phone more expensive and some people from BBOS might hold off switching to it

The feeling is comparable to PP no obvious difference. Beside me thinking the PP buttons are smoother to touch, while the classic has a slight edge detail but it doesn't exactly affect the feeling

Why? You need to slide your phones under doors? I actually wish they made it slightly thicker, because if 0.2mm thicker would mean like 500mah more in battery size, I'll take it...

yes, thats available now on Q10s with the 10.3.1 software...and it is awesomer than it used to be...
The new universal search in 10.3 on my Passport is infuriatingly awful compared to 10.2.1 on my Q10. How has the experience improved in 10.3.1?

AWESOME.. i cant wait to get it. some questions for you. thank you in advance for your time and answers!!

    1) does the end button get out of apps/ browser and minimize or close apps? if you press end multiple times?
    2) does the back key go back to previous page within an app? so the touch screen back key at the bott. left is not there? or web browser? still a touch back key? or just physical back button?
    3) difference between back key and end key with multiple presses in multiple apps/ operations?
    4) up gesture comfort w/ trackpad there? can you disable up gesture?
    5) can you store a shortcut for hub? like H for hub open?
I'm bumping this up since the questions have not been answered yet.

Does the home button.....go home? Like on BBOS? (End call button).
    Does the back button....go back?

    Yes,

Just consider the materials, size and battery. But that number shouldn't be used to describe comfortable use.

Typing is more like 9900 but of course it is not curved. I think it is more of a straightened 9900 keyboard than it is a Q10. It is not light but I like hefty devices.
