How would most apps, made for rectangular screens, run on a device like the Classic/Passport/Q5/Q10? Do those devices have access to the same apps from Amazon/BBWorld/Snap like the Z10/Z3/Z10?

I run most apps OK on my Q10, sometimes they appear "squashed" not in proportion, but like icons might be crammed together more tightly than you know they are supposed to. But I think 10.3.1 has the ability for you to manually scale and zoom in apps or something like that...

@slagman5, thanks for the reply. I'm interested in the Classic but kind of skeptical about the 1:1 display. I can't seem to find an Android app demo on the Q10.

Hello I'm a BB developer and I make different binaries for square and rectangular screens. There are no square screens in other App stores.

In general, trackpad is the "great equalizer". It can make really tiny screens acceptably useable. Naturally only select few have real hands on with Classic's 1:1. Might make a good question for Ruslan??

@senel, I was actually referring to apps made for rectangular screen running on the square screen. For example, how would Netflix and YouTube look like?

A very good question I almost forgot to ask. The only reason why I got a z10 rather than q10 was because I heard some apps are not compatible with q10 ( probably before the 10.2 release). Now does the situation still exist or there's zero difference now, Apps run exactly the same on rectangular and square screen? And as for scaling on passport, how does it look and feel, anybody could help explain? Cheers.
