I have something in BB10 that drives me nuts when you press the "end" button instead of going to the desktop you go to the "app manager" screen, is there any way to change that? Basically how it was in BB7.

I don't think there is a way to do that. Never bothered me moving from OS 7 to BB10.
One swipe to the right isn't too bad. Also, you can leave the apps you use most in the app manager and turn off running in the background in App Permissions.
