Amazon: how to select model version?
OK, I'm ready to pre-order Classic on Amazon, as soon as it becomes available.
However, Amazon has a track record of listing Blackberry GSM phones to be working on both AT&T and T-Mobile networks, despite that being only partially the case.
So how in the world am I supposed to know which Model Version Amazon sells and what to order?
Amazon: how to select model version?
OK, but will the Classic be available on Amazon with AT&T contract BEFORE the Classic is available on AT&T.
Similarly let's say AT&T would even decide not to carry the Classic at all. Whould I still be able to buy it on Amazon Wireless with a 2 year AT&T contract?
Sorry for all this questions. I'm just trying to have all the eggs in one basket for a possibly short window of preorder.
Amazon: how to select model version?
I checked with AT&T.
I was told that technically there are no issues of switching between Blackberry and iPhone. They would just need the phone info. There would be no administrative charge for switching back and forth between Blackberry and iPhone either.
So now I just have to figure out which model comes with the highest subsidy.
As far as numbers go, I would have to pay a $40 upgrage fee + the taxes on the pre-subsidy phone price, so another $70 or so. So approx. $110 total in fees and taxes and then of course the 2 year contract price of the phone of choice.
Going this route, I doubt I can collect much more towards Classic than $300, which is actually not even that bad.
