That's (typical) N4BB misreporting.

The -3 and -5 (Verizon) have Qi: Products - Wireless Power Consortium

The -2 has PMA (or Powermat...whatever it's called): http://www.powermatters.org/ - List Categories and Listings by B: Certification

Even if this wasn't out, the author of that article should have double checked because AT&T has chosen to back PMA, not Qi. So if you (N4BB) are claiming they're going with Qi, you better back it up.
