    I have a brand new classic and after a few days the Amazon Appstore stopped opening. When I try to open it, it goes to a black screen and does nothing. It's version 1.6.4000.10 and my favorite app from the store, Checkbook (by Perkins Matthew) version 1.2.110.831 won't open either, it just goes to a black screen. I restarted the phone, which froze it, and when it finally restarted the apps worked, then stopped again after a few days.

    My OS software release is 10.3.2.556 and my OS Version is 10.3.2.858

    I don't want to restart or power down the device because it usually freezes. Does anyone know why Amazon Appstore stops working? I read some other posts and it was suggested to download it amazon.com/getappstore, but that only brings me to Amazon Underground. I downloaded it and it did nothing.

    I had a similar issue. The solution was a combination of the Kindle app and another app that never completely installed. Using Ghost Commander from BlackBerry World, I removed both and then after a reboot my Android apps began working again.
