Hey guys I've had my classic for about 4 days and the battery hasn't been thaaaaat good as promoted so far. When I go to device monitor it says that the system is draining 29% of the battery. Is this normal?
How long does it take for the OS to set up?

The first day after updating to 10.3.1.2072 I had the same thing. Battery was almost dead after 8 hours of barely touching the thing. When I looked at the device monitor it was showing roughly 30% on the system alone. I rebooted the phone mid-day, but it didn't seem to help. But next day (after a charge) I was back to normal/awesome battery life.

Yeaah, clearly you must not use your phone as much as the rest of us lol I have to charge nightly - sometimes in the evening too

Dropbox onedrive and box also hide under System. I found dropbox was causing massive battery drain for me even if I disable mobile sync, stop sync and it has any files pending.

Not sure why... but it could be related...

I thought this had great battery life but 5 hours with 81% is kinda disappointing
    Is this normal?

Battery monitor has a few bugs in atm and is unreliable it told me I had 6 hours remaining but easily got 12 hours. Have a tweak about with the settings and you will be fine!

It depends a lot on use. 5 hours @ 20 percent means your device should last about 25 hours in its current use state.

I use my bbry a lot, my passport lasts anywhere from 30 hours to about 6 hours depending on the day. But typically closer to 30.

My passport lasts 5hours. checked all android apps too. 31% for BlackBerry system, even if everything is closed.
Been like this for over a week.
    Any ideas?

Is it possible you have headless apps running in the background? I think some processes get classified as "system" when they're not just basic processes keeping the phone running. I would try using a task-manager-type app to see what other processes you have running; I've read about a few options for apps like this on here but I haven't used any of them personally and don't want to recommend a bad one.

Try disabling any cloud sync apps you have. Dropbox, box, onedrive. If that doesn't do it, look at other culprits like FB and twitter.

But fixing it is a harder matter
