Being a techie no I wouldn't. Being an average person that texts, emails, bbm's a lot I would still get a 9900.

Don't know how you guys can compare the outdated OS7 to BB10, i used to own the 9900 and absolutely loved the keyboard and still do, using my Z10 Till the Q10 is released. BB10 is better, faster and much better experience imo...

OS7 felt so outdated hence the reason I sold my 9900 to get the Galaxy Note on launch. When I switched I missed the keyboard and bbm but everything about OS7 definitely wasnt missed!

I wouldn't unless BBRY finds a way to incorporate BIS for OS10 devices. And if that comes thru, then - possibly a Q10.

Having been used to "push mail", I ain't gonna be runnin' after fetch mail - ****... I gotta Laptop for ThaT ...

I have a 9930, love it -- had it for about 3years now... before that had the Storm 2. BUT yes I have ordered a z10 on VZW network. So going from a full touch, to keyboard, back to full touch... could go either way.
The 9930 is not two years old yet.....

if i were to do this, i would definately buy a 9900 and once the Q10 is launched and free of its initial bugs i would then take a call between the 9900 and the Q10

I'm not upgrading for awhile. It's not because the Z10 sucks it's because my 9930 with tether works great with my laptop on Verizon and unlimited data. Can't do that with BB10 yet.
It really depends on how you want to use the device. 9930 works just right for me right now at least.

WOW the 9900 is high out of contract! Options: Refurb 1 cent or new 99 dollars from att, Or 200 up on ebay? Yikes

Guess I will wait for the q10 and then maybe the 9900 will come down

I think the Q10 would make more sense if you are into a 9900
Different data and price plans, right?

Well, I changed from the 9700 to 9900 2 weeks ago and I'm quite disappointed.

The only advantage the 9900 gives me is that it will load any website where the 9700 sometimes used to close pages because they were too big. But apart from that I find it hard to find any major improvements. Having a bigger screen is useful but I can't type one-handed anymore as the device is just too big. Another issue I personally have is that I was forced to buy a car loader as battery life is really short and I am out a lot.

So on a personal base I would wait and see what the Q10 will be like. The 9900 is a very good looking phone, does what it has to do but for me it is just too unhandy to enjoy.

Hate to hear this, as I was looking to go from a 9000 to the 9900, as a temp. I cant see giving up my unlimited account for all of the battery issues and run a way download charges that some folks are having with the new z10 or q10 when it arrives.

I went from a 9650 to a 9900 and you must have some small hands. I can still blast out texts and emails one handed while driving (don't tell the police) lol

Coming from the 9700 you give up af on the camera and battery life. I'm not going to beat around the bush and say the 9900 is even close to the 9900 like some people do. The 9700 has by far the best battery ever!

With that said you get a better screen, faster phone as far as loading things and overall data speed. Give the keyboard time. After a month or 2 go back to the 9700 and you'll wonder how you typed on it. Yes you take a hit in the battery department but with 7.1 I can EASILY get a day of heavy use out of it.

As much as I would love to have a 9700 as a standby device I just don't think I could go back to a berry as slow as that was on the browser and launching apps etc...

    So do I.
I tested the Z10 for more than 12 hours. I like it in all the new things it brings... love it!, except for the keyboard. Sorry, but for texting it does not allow me to match the speed I do with my 9900 keyboard! I will wait for the Q10 in honest hope that it will not disappoint me.
Opposite experience for me. The swipe up words feature makes typing the full word obsolete. I don't care for the feel of a touchscreen keyboard but I think Im going to get this one.
