No... it just provides data. It also provides signal data as well. Any app that "conserves" battery is a gamble.

WeatherBug - I feel like there's no comparison as far as weather apps are concerned, and I was bugged that I couldn't find it in App World that I went out and found it myself.
DropBox - Easily share files between different places. I'm a college student, this is especially useful to have on my phone (like taking a picture of notes and having them on my Mac immediately after...if only I could mute this camera now.)
Advance OS and LED - SUPER customizable and free. In terms of functionality, I think it's my favorite out of all the LED customizing apps (though I really did like BerryBuzz).
Pandora - Puts me on to great new songs to listen to while I work on projects or papers or something. Particularly handy when I'm listening to new genres of music.
My VZW - Pretty self-explanatory. Super useful to see how many of my mins I've used since everything else is unlim.

There are others, but if I had to pick 5, it'd be them.

ShutUp Camera - Mutes the STOCK camera app! It doesn't just take a screen shot of the camera screen like so many other camera 'mute' apps It actually mutes the real camera! Launch the app (it opens the camera), hit bb menu, click 'ShutUp Camera!' and it will mute every picture you take after that! (until you close the camera app, then next time you open its back to normal
Costs $0.99 but well worth it if you have to take Real high res pics in quiet environments. I used it last weekend at my friends wedding Works for any OS7 device where most apps cannot mute the real camera... (I have no involvement with this app. I just like it because it actually works and takes real pics!)

1. Google maps - give me directions via transit in my area - extremely useful to get somewhere new since I don't drive...
2. AccuWeather - the most accurate weather forecast for my city
3. BeWeather - great weather app, good for confirmation or 2nd opinion on the accuweather forecast since my area's weather is so hard to predict accurately (Langley/Vancouver BC Canada)
4. ShutUp Camera - mutes the default camera for real! (see above)
5. puZZed - Alarm clock where you have to type a complicated quote question or answer a few math question to turn off the alarm - no more hitting snooze 20 times in a row! You can't turn it off until you're awake enough to type/solve the question!
6. BeBuzz (core edition) - couldn't live without this app!

That puZZed app sounds like something I can use.
