In one of the reviews, it mentions that the screen is a scratch-resistant plastic. If Gorilla Glass can scratch, I wouldn't want to take any chances. I have a Zagg on my Playbook and actually like the feel. I also don't notice any degredation in touch performance.
I had my first hands-on experience with a 9930 in a Sprint store today and would definitely put a shield on it.
However, I also read in another thread that Zagg just started putting small logos in the lower right of their protectors. That is utter blasphemy as far as I'm concerned! I'm also concerned about some people reporting that some sheilds don't cover the entire screen.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good clear sheild that reduces fingerprints and smudges?
No screen protector for me. Mine is always holstered when not in use. I'm always on to the next one anyway before anything major happens to my phones so I don't see the point.
No screen protector here either. The phone is too beatiful to ruin it with an addition like that, plus the glass seems very durable. I've ordered the pocket pouch for carrying it around.
I'm using a cut down BoxWave anti glare protector. It was salvaged from a Dinc2 I returned to VZW after a short trial. Kinda ghetto, but it works fine.
Yes, I used one on my Storm 2 and never had an issue. It's still like new after all this time. Have one on order for the Bold 9930 and will put it on when it come sin. I use a pouch which leaves some of the screen exposed. Loving this phone!
