If I could have one app made for my Bold 9930, it would be a decent browser (with a 'reader' function).

This is my main (and for the most part, only) beef with my 9930. Wish Google would port a version of Chrome to OS 7. I'd pay for a decent browser. Doesn't have to be fast and wouldn't expect it to be on this phone, just want one that can render all sites and have a reader ability.

I think RAM is not the weakest point. But single core processor.

Our 99's 1.2GHz, 768GB specs were the best of BBOS. Which helped "future proof" it amazingly well, fwiw. Specs aside, tho, compatibility keeps getting more & more hit and miss. Some sites are simply "broken" in native browser. Sometimes Opera works, tho. EBay app still works, fwiw. .

My Classic's native browser is choking on some sites that still work in Opera on 99. Go figure. Even my win7 desktops with latest IE & FF have gotten pretty "clunky" with some sites. Right or wrong, we call it "Googlefication", here in the office. Lol.

In short, 9900 is no browsing powerhouse. Still works for basics, like checking operating hours at local restaurant, etc. But, don't expect full function, anymore.

I, also, would be willing to pay a LOT for a reasonably compatible browser for 9900. Opera Mini is living proof that a third party browser IS possible. My "smart guys" frequently toy with the idea of deving one. Nvrkno what might happen...

Something Chromium-based (if Chrome itself is out of the question) would probably fix that.

Unfortunately, but I we can observe that many many websites are one piece of sh*t in case of optimalization... I guess We won't have to wait long time, when for simple web browsing via smartphones we will need 4GB of RAM and 8 Core processors(I know that today the top models have this specs, but I talk about normal phones for most people)
