i had the opportunity today to "play" with a functional slide loaded with os 6.0 the OS is still a bit buggy at this time but my goodness what a nice phone and beautiful OS.very fast broswer, looks like Rim finally has an IPhone killer.lol I will definitely switch my 9700 when the slide is officially released

I love my 9700 but if the bold slider has the same efficiency WITH the touch screen? Why not make a jump and live a little. And only if it makes it over to T-Mobile, not going back to ATT ever!!

Just saw an article that AT&T was getting the exclusive on the slider and it's coming out in June. Don't know how reliable that is but to add to the misery they were also getting the 3G Pearl. I'm a T-Mobile customer and I sure as **** hope they grab both of those phones. To give AT&T an exclusive on their slider IMO is just Rim shooting themselves in the foot. What is with that kind of bull ****? Make these damn devices work on all carriers, it couldn't cost much more to throw a little extra hardware while they are in the build. I would like the 9800 to be available to me from my carrier if I choose to get it. Come on Rim, get off the can and get on the stick. Rim needs their Blackberry customers to reach out and tell them what they want, the ability to choose any blackberry device from the carrier of their choice. I just don't understand Rim's business decisions and their refusal to get with the times.

I'll pass. Not a fan of touch screen at all. And it looks just like the palm my friend has with Sprint.

Never!! I love my 9700! Its the sexiest looking blackberry out!! Well besides the mini bold looking pearl 3g that's going too be out! And I'm already satisfied with the os and assuring that os 6 is going too be available for the 9700 to me there isn't really any real upgrade here. But that's my opinion! I am going too keep my 9700 for a while! Its everything I need and just a perfect non lagging smart phone.

RULE #1 - Never buy 1st Gen of any device. If 9800 series is successful, RIM will refine it and perfect it. But the real issue is not hardware, its the OS.

Performance of the highly anticipated OS 6 will be the real benchmark.

Do you recall 1st Storm? exactly.

Should have made this as a pole. As for the BB I am interested because I think it would be nice combo but I am thinking it will not work properly - also I just upgraded and I have another year until I can do that again
