Will there be a Bold 2? Or will the successor to the Bold have a different name? Or is the BOLD name here to stay?
Or will RIM kill off the Bold in favor of the 3G Storm 2 and 3G Curve coming out late in 2009?
i would say eventually yes. Although nothing that is coming out in the near future has the same features plus more. The 8900 lacks 3g, and the storm is a whole 'nother ball of wax compared to the Bold, Im not sure what they could do to the Bold, hardware wise, to make it any better than the current model. Time will tell though.
— 802.11n support
— Real metal trim instead of the silver painted plastic
— 16 million colours vs 64 thousand
— More RAM/Application memory
— Nicer/smoother trackball

802.11n would be nice,
real metal bezel would increase weight of the device
more ram would be kool, although i experience no issues with speed
the screen is amazing as is, if it aint broke. dont fix it.

I already read it will have the querty board and be the same size screen as the current Bold but it will also be a touch screen for a few easy functions like scrolling and such.
I just got off the phone with Franklin RIMstein, President of RIM. He told me the next generation Bold is going to be called BEHOLD! It will have a plazma screen and run on depleted uranium!
