I assume the original reason for not allowing older model BB devices to upgrade to bb10 software was two fold; first, BlackBerry needs profits from new device purchases, and then because they removed the trackpad and belt. Now that they are reintroducing the trackpad and belt with the Q20, does anyone think they would ever consider allowing 9900/9930 upgrading to bb10 software?

I ask because I am not a fan of larger phones, larger screens, or bulky devices (personally, I believe the iPhone 4/4s is a perfectly modeled device; not great software though, in my opinion). I think the q20 will be too large for my taste.

It doesn't have the power needed to run BB10, so no, they'll not be updating them.

What would be cooler is if they gave the option to either have BB10 or BBOS UI. Sort of like themes on BBOS.

9900 internal hardware is ancient compared even to the PlayBook which couldn't run bb10
