Have any of you experienced wifi cutoff with even 2 bars? Why does this happen - so annoying. I've had it on more than 1 os too - I'm currently on 923 rc18 hyrbrid.

Yes. I notice my signal strength periodically drops by two bars or so randomly. It will go from 4 to 2 for no apparent reason, or 2 to 0. Have had a few 9900s with the same problem on several different wifi networks and have tried just about every OS update.
There's a post somewhere here discussing an issue with the misalignment of the wifi antenna and how to fix it, but when I took mine apart it looked to be perfectly alighned. I don't know if it's a crappy antenna, modem, or if the steel band interferes with the signal.
VERY annoying and making me consider returning to a 9790.
I carried mine somewhere and the said its fine too although I would like to check for myself but I don't have the screwdriver and I am a little fearful to pull it apart and mess with internals. Wifi is unreliable on this phone and so users will always need BIS/4G to get more reliable internet connection.
I have noticed a little better wifi signal when I installed .1033. It still has the problem where the signal randomly decreases by two bars, but on average I seem to get 1 bar better signal than I did before, so it does disconnect less. I wonder if I could pull it apart again and somehow stuff a bigger antenna in there and if that would help.
