    why cant blackberry app world and browser be used on my bold 9700? I already unlocked it on Vodafone.

    I Do you have BlackBerry Internet Service active on your plan? It is a requirement if you want those services to work. You can browse on Wi-Fi, but on your carrier, the other services are fed through BlackBerry's servers, and BIS is required for this.
